Mac Crashing when opening any menu

I am crashing every time I open any menu (inventory, talk/commands, pause, villager trade, etc.). I am having the world leak issue as well but I can not complete the fixes in Booker The Geek's guide as both require opening a menu (inventory/commands). I am using Mac OS 10.6.8 and Java 6. 1. Change the install path in the options tab to "~FTB\" without the quotes.
2. Try again please.

I switched the install path but encountered a new error where it freezes before getting to the main menu. http://pastebin.com/3DKbDYcc
Also "~FTB\" installed it on to my desktop while "/FTB/" installed it directly onto the harddrive. Which would be preferable? Once again, just ask if you need more information.

The second one, Directly to the hard drive.

Try again with that instead of installed to the desktop.

I installed to the hard drive and was able to launch but encountered the same error (crashing when opening inventory) as before.

I am having this exact same issue. Whenever I open a UI, on a server or single player. I crash, mac as well, I've updated java in my system preferences. Here is the crash log: http://pastebin.com/KiXKKAZN
