Crashing when launching SSP game

I have a Windows 7 64 bit system. I start the FTB launcher and load up the Ultimate Pack, v 1.0.1. After a long loading time, it goes to the main screen without much issue. When I try to start a singleplayer game, though, my game crashes after a long loading time. Your Java is not up to date. You should be using Java 7 update 17

So kids, if you have the same problem, remove the past java versions via registry, and then reinstall it! Cheers. Thanks for the help.
