Windows .exe Crashing Randomly

FTB launcher v1.2.2

Minecraft 1.4.7

Java version 7 Update 17

My FTB freezes, then closes out completely within a few minutes of joining my friend's private server. I have added Optifine HD D5 Ultra, Flans mod 2.2.1, and version 0.5.1 of Modern Assault Weapons Pack for flans mod. This problem just started once I updated my modpack to the Mindcrack Pack (v8.2.0)
