I've done lots of experimentation, and came to the conclusion that the mods Resonant Induction and ICBM are causing the crashing (or at least the crashes don't happen when these mods are not present). However, in the Yogscast Complete mod pack ( http://www.atlauncher.com/pack/YogscastCompletePack/ ), both of these mods are present, and not only does the game not crash, but there is significantly higher FPS and better chunk loading, even though there are more mods.

Is there a particular mod or combination of mods in my pack that are causing these problems? Or are there mods in YCP that would prevent them?

I took separate logs of Resonant Induction with no ICBM, and ICBM with no Resonant Induction. Game crashes both times. Without these mods, the game doesn't crash, but still runs ineffeceintly.

(Apologies; I know Pastebin is generally preferred, but my Forge logs are too large to fit. I'm open to suggestions on where to post them.)

RI is extremely unstable and highly not recommended if you value your world

PS: and prior experience with ICBM has taught me not to use it, either. Causes severe lag, at least the turrets do.

Duly noted.

Orespawn? I don't have Orespawn installed. And Star Miner doesn't add any mobs to the game. I'll try to run the game without it though.

These entities are flipped vanilla mobs, Starminer is a really neat mod that plays with gravity. I have it in my 1.6.4 pack and I'm not having any issues, however you have to be careful what mods to run it with. For example if you run it with TConstruct you have to disable slime islands in the "Orbit" dimension or else you will break your world

Anyway, I'm running these versions of Calclavia's mods and I'm not crashing or having serious fps issues:
- Resonant Engine: 1.2.0.349
- Universal Electricity: 3.1.0.108
- ICBM: 1.4.2.246

"EntityLivingGravitized" Hmm ... that does seem related to Star Miner.

Ok, While testing I had an overload of animals, so I used the "/killall" command from SPC, and the game crashed again, with a 46 MB log file. I'm gonna try it again without Mo Creatures. :(

It seems to run a little better now ... I'll come back with more info after more testing.

Mob mods always cause issues for me. Ive tried mocreatures everytime Ive updated MC versions and I always end up having to remove it.

Pretty irritating, since the only creatures I want are the ambiance of the birds and fish (plus a few others), and even if I disable most of the other creatures, the mod completely replaces the mob spawning engine, which seems to cause much lag.

Mocreatures works without custom mob spawner btw.

"Crashes and low FPS with many mods"

this is kind of the norm :p
I know, but I was asking about specific issues, especially issues that are not present in a different mod pack with even more mods. I didn't know what to title the thread.
