Use the application NBTexplorer to remove the bow from your inventory.

With the application open the player.dat-file that is yours (should be named YOUR_UUID.dat), remove the bow, save the file and then apply it to the server.

Take a backup of the file first, in case things go wrong.

Is it a windows machine running the server you can install NBTexplorer on that machine if you want to.

Otherwise if you don't want to do that, or if the server is any other OS - download the file from the server to your local machine, edit and save the file and then upload it to the server again.

The character needs to be logged out (at least before upload).

Then after upload of edited file, login with the char again.

so the server is running on my own computer so i can just download NBTexplorer and edit my character that way?

Yes - but remember to make a backup copy of the .dat-file if it goes wrong - (perhaps copy the file to another location and edit it there, save it and the copy it back - so you don't work against the server folder structure - this isn't a issue, just a way to be sure to not mess up things when using a new tool).

so would i just replace the existing player data file with the new edited one?
