I fixed this by deleting my FTB version and letting it reinstall. Back up your world saves before trying this!

Go to your FTB folder, which should be in the same folder as your launcher. Inside, go into the version that you're using, then the folder called minecraft. Copy the saves out of there so you don't lose them. Now go back to your FTB folder and delete the version that's causing problems. Now launch FTB and start your version again. It should redownload. When this is complete, close Minecraft and copy your saves back into the folder you took them out of. Hopefully Minecraft should now run properly and you should still have your saves after doing this.
