ive looked like 5k blocks in all directions and cant seem to find this "Big City" ive seen every single other person find. Please help.

pretty sure i dont cause ive found these little towns so to speak with only 6 or so buildings none over 2 stories
There should be a city ~500 blocks NW if you're playing with the 1.1.3 version of the pack and should be there every time you make a new world. The little towns and stuff are from Ruins. I would try redownloading the pack and see if something happened and not all the files downloaded properly.
If you're playing in 1.2 there were "BIG" cities. Found to be vastly overpowering, they were quickly (or not so quickly) hammered with a nerf. So, now, if you're wandering around in a new map with 1.3, you will find "little" villages and cities and graveyards of death and the dead. One of which you may soon be, if you go wandering down there.

Think Shane was saying it was letting people skip out too much on the beginning part of the survival part and made it too easy in some ways. So smaller packets of goodies to help out if you want to explore but not so much that it'll let you warp through all the survival grind. Also why tofu got pounded
but at least peanut butter is still thereAs for smeltery, I hear most will find it in the starter city, but it might be a RNG thing. Can't tell personally, I'm still building up my base before heading out. Just finally got my primitive auto gravel, sand or dust pounder automated. So a long way out before I go looking for anything outside of the relatively safe area of my base.
Ok i found them haha it seems i was flying all around them and just completely missing them . tyvm for you guys help. salute
i still dont see any black roads leading to them though which still makes them pretty hard to find
Me also...playing 1.1.3 version,i utomated sifting dust porccess and i need to build smeltery enxt it says i can found it in town 200 meters or so north of my base and there should be crumble smeltery seared bricks,but i found the little citty that wasnt 200 meters away than 600 meters away,i looked whole city up and i wasnt able to found smeltery bricks + i cant find the big city PLEASE HELP ME!

Ok well I found the Big city, and... wow that is one heck off a nerf. Nearly couldn't find what I needed.
