First, please tell us some info, such as RAM ammount, OS, GPU, etc.
Also, can you tell me what exactly were you duing when FTB crashed?
Try updating Java, and try allocating less RAM. Update your graphic drivers.

I have 32 GB ram on my comp, and was running MC with 5
Was doing nothing in particular, just wandering around exploring
This happens on multiple worlds, after a few mintues regardless of what happens
I have tried re insallting java to no avail

hope this helps :)

Try updating your drivers. Try using a registry cleaner. Also try making new worlds on different modpacks.
Unfortunately, this could be a Java error. Try uninstalling all Java versions, reboot, and then install the latest 64 bit version.

In the first log you are using Java 7 Beta Update 17. Latest is J7 Update 25. If it still doesn't works, backup your saves and do a fresh reinstall of FTB.

Thanks, will try this stuff soon :)
Also, there is this weird thing with my crafting: whenever i move about items in my inventory or craft things, items that i am holding/moving randomly move into open slots
eg: i have 60 wood planks that i am moving (i just crafted a crafting table), when i left click to drop the planks back into my inventory, suddenly there are 3 stacks of 20 planks.
any idea why this happens?

1) If you could manage to find the FTB Console log (In debug mode) then that would be of great help. I have no idea how to read that certain report.

2) Try going into recipe mode in NEI. It may be linked with your current problem in that NEI is multiplying what you have.
