If you can get all mods on curseforge you even get a easy way to distribute the pack if you plan to put up world downloads. Curse/Twitch has builtin pack sharing mechanisms and all mods hosted on curseforge have to allow usage of that feature T&C of curseforge

Yeah, I have been using Twitch so far to build the pack, and even test it. Definitely makes the whole process easier, automatically handling APIs and dependencies etc. Still doing config/script changes, so easier to keep it there for now.

Think I have finalized the modlist mostly, so I have also started a proper survival playthrough. So far working out pretty well ;)

An interesting idea would be Primal Core + Kitsu's Forgecraft instead of Tinker's Construct.

I know some people have bad vibes of Primal Core due to how SevTech used it, but base it really isn't that grindy. It gives you flint tools for the early game, then the smithing system basically does the same thing Tinkers does in that you apply enhancements to the tool head after forging it before fitting it to the haft, but only mostly uses vanilla-ish enhancements instead of the craziness that Tinker's does.

If you really want a cool vibe, use Geolosys for oregen. Even if you don't use Geolosys's oregen mechanic, using it with whatever you are using for oregen (such as CoFH World) can really help make the world feel more steampunkish, because now your character can be like "Oh, that's Tetrahedrite, which is a copper-bearing ore" instead of just seeing 'copper ore'.

For basic tool I just chose something familiar. Didnt really want to end up not having the tools I like many hours into the pack. But I will keep it in mind for the future.

I think a more complex oregen would suite a tech pack better. So far this pack is not very metal focused, and it only really uses some very basic stuff(Iron, gold, copper, tin, silver etc.). Mining is also almost entirely done in the Aroma1997 mining dimension, so spare the Overworld. And for some reason there have been a bit of a conflict, so have had to config in a bunch of stuff to spawn in the dimension. Not really looking to complicate that more :p

Thanks, lots of good suggestions. Have a bunch of them already, but will give it a look. Though pack is kinda big already, so probably not gonna add a whole lot more ;)

Arcane Archives. My other suggestions seem to be for 1.14 or newer versions of Minecraft (Create, Druidcraft).
Arcane Archives is already in ;) Quite interesting storage mod. Looking to see if it can be integrated with Storage Drawers and other storage for an awsome early-game storage system. Though the ExU Indexer is already proving itself very handy.

Hey there i have been playing a lot of modded minecraft and looked at your modlist. I'm actually really hyped for this modpack... (dont know if its public but if it is plz tell me name and expected release date cuz i would love to play it) I think that in addition to the Tinkers construct stuff you already got you should add Tinkers leveling i belive its called... it allows players to level up there tool with XP so that can add more modifiers. now initially I understand how this may sound a little too OP but with all the other mods you have i think that tinkers construct is only gonna be used for early game-mid game tools and ore doubling all throughout the game as there are better tools in other mods. another mod i believe would work great with the mods you have is Mystical agriculture. it is good for automation as you can make seeds for ores such as diamond silver iron ect... and i believe it fits in with your sorcery steampunk fantasy vibe. GL on the Modpack im really interested in what you can make of this

I an not opposed in any way to making the modpack publicly available, however I do think it needs some more tweaking and testing before I feel comfortable doing that. And atm it is not really a high priority, but maybe someday.

I chose not to use Tinker's levelling on purpose. Had tried it on other modpacks where it worked kinda OK due to not having any other options. But it was kinda OP since any sloppily thrown together tool would end up being OP. Specially with weapons where you could have all the modifiers... And the pack already have several cross-mod addons that add more materials to tools, like having Botania Mana repair on tools etc. And I am really fine with it serving as early game tools, as that gives incentive to dive deeper in the other core gameplay mods.

I personally thoroughly loathe mods like Mystical agriculture. One of the things I enjoy the most, is automating and building scenes for the various challenging and unique resource generations. And with a mod like that, I am kinda incentivised to forgo all the cool unique automation options and just have lots and lots of boring crops. I have used bees in the past in a similar but limited way, but that was mostly because I loved the slow and almost meditative process of breeding bees for it :p
