Confusion with Logistics pipes autocrafting

I am trying to use them to autocraft epic bacon using botania's flowers. I am running into a confusing problem with using the mortar and pestle though.

Spoiler: Setup

I have an ender chest with a supply of cooked porkchops in it, 1 provider pipe and 1 supplier pipe set to full with epic bacon in it.
I have a Storage drawer controller with all botania flowers attached and a supplier pipe attached to the controller.
I have 7 auto crafting tables with the recipe for petals in their crafting pipes.
A regular chest with 7 mortar and pestle's in it and a single satellite pipe set to 1.
I have 7 auto crafting tables with the recipe for floral dye in their crafting pipes and the mortar and pestle is the first satellite slot also set to 1.
and 1 crafting table with the epic bacon recipe in its crafting pipe.
I also have a power junction receiving power from my main base.

This wasn't creating anything so I made a request pipe. When I request epic bacon it says that I am missing 7 mortar and pestle's.

any idea what might be going on here?

I haven't looked at LP recently, but can't you store items in the autocrafting table? If yes, put the Mortars and Pestals in the autocrafting tables and delete every mortar and pestal in the crafting pipes.

The crafting tables can store items but for some reason the system doesn't recognize that it has mortar's.

I currently have 14 mortars one in each of the tables and 7 in the chest with the satellite pipe.
but it still tells me that I am missing 7 mortars when I request an epic bacon. It also says missing 1 mortar when I request any of the floral dyes.

You're getting the error because the satellite pipe is for sending crafting items to a different location. It doesn't retrieve/provide. Try putting a provider pipe on the mortar chest.

The other issue you'll get is your LP network thinking that you need one mortar per craft. I''ve never found a way to programme in non-consumables; however you could stick the crafting pipe on a chest [petals→powder, no mortar], and route items through an autocrafter [with mortar] using emerald pipes.

For non-consumables, maybe go for just using the recipe and telling it it gives a mortar and pestle as a byproduct? Pretty sure that's how you're meant to deal with the case of buckets being left over for recipes so it could work here. At least as far as LP recipes go here.

This is probably a dumb question, but are you able to make epic bacon with botania dyes outside of the LP system?

I don't know what pack you're using, but in Infinity Evolved (expert mode at least) Botania flowers don't convert to dye.

LP supports autocrafting, and Infinity Expert chose to remove the botania powders from counting as dyes, they're normally oredicted.
