Anybody else noticing that Buildcraft's conductive pipes (any type) don't actually transmit energy any more? If I want to get energy from an engine to a machine, I have to use Thermal Expansion Redstone Energy Conduits (which is more of a mid game thing). Placing an engine next to a conductive pipe, refuses to orient, and if you force it, it still won't transfer energy through it.

Did you try to attach a Wooden Conductive Pipe to the engine? Then Golden Conductive Pipes from that point to connect to your machines.

hmm nope. I suppose that would be consistent with the whole "wooden = output" philosophy.
I got spoilt on the TE conduits, and how much they make sense. ^_^
