You cant. Mob essence is from spawned mobs, essence berries (when eaten) give XP.

False: Conversion methods do exist, including the EXP Extractor(which gets mob essence from you at the cost of one level per bucket) or using an automated system to right click them without a player with a MFR sewer under it to get mob essence from the exp orbs.
Convoluted? No doubt. Effective? Ditto.

That's where your wrong. Mod interactions ftw. Run the berries through an autonomous activator and have a sewer from mfr right in front of it. It will collect mob essence which you can pump out. Just make sure you don't have any animals around it or it will break. Mad tricks yo

Actually, that's not different at all from using a vacuum hopper to suck the EXP, so I wouldn't say it's convoluted at all. It might not be too obvious, since it isn't too clear that sewers suck experience orbs as well.
