Collapsible Categories

@Lawbroken made this post in another topic and I wanted to create a new topic instead of continueing the discussion over there and going offtopic

There was a conversation ages ago between staff about moving things like this to the wiki or even selling them if they were good enough through the FTB shop where the author would get the money, However that went out the window and I don't even think atm we have a shop..

But there is too many categories on the forum already, Server section needs to be re-done and others need to just disappear. So wiki would be the best place.

would it be possible to create collapsible forum categories?
if that would be possible, users could collapse the forum categories they don't follow and view the ones they do follow, without having a very large frontpage of the forum

Can't you do this with the follow section feature that was added?

I haven't played around with it yet to see how it works.

To directly answer, yes, it's possible. Arranging for this would require something like this add-on; it's not native functionality in the software.

That kind of decision of course belongs to another paygrade rather above mine. =)
