So I'm really trying to get into Mystcraft. Been following direwolf's tutorial, yet it's not accurate with using the Book Binder.
There was several comments stating to use a Link Panel Page, but even that isn't creating a Descriptive Book.

Can someone please give me the correct way to get started in Mystcraft? Thanks in advance.
Currently using version 0.11.5.00.

Make an Ink Mixer(fill it with ink and paper), Make a Panel in the Ink Mixer, Place the Panel first in your Notebook.
Place Notebook in Writing Desk, add in pages after the panel to make up the age, take out Notebook.
Make Book Binder(add leather), open Book Binder, right-click Notebook into the GUI to empty contents out, take out finished Descriptive book.

The recipes have changed up a bit. Which version of the mod are you using 0.11.10?

I have a video using 0.11.9 here:

The notebook change caught me off guard too.

At 4:31 I make a descriptive book to our first (random) age. It's just a link panel and leather in the book binder. You may need to name it. A linking book is made just after that it's just a link page and leather. And I remember when I was making this video that some of the NEI recipes were not working so I was stumbling a bit.

And the collation folder and the symbol portfolio replaces the notebook. The collation folder is leather mid top and mid bottom and string middle left. It keeps your pages in order.

The symbol portfolio (3 leather top, 3 bottom and 1 string on middle left) can hold all your pages and stacks extras, unlike the notebook.
