Client -Xmx setting doesn't save

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title:
Client -Xmx setting doesn't save
Launcher Version:
1.6.61 (launched from the curse shell)
Modpack:
ftb infinity evolved
Modpack Version:
2.5.0
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
Windows 10

1. I hit play for infinity evolved in the curse client/launcher.
2. I edit profile in the Minecraft launcher changing the -xmx value to 4096. I then click save profile.
3. I close the launcher, and then upon re-opening the value is set back to -Xmx768m

How do i permanently change the value?

I believe that curse allows you set it from its own client. I have no idea where that setting is though.

When you select a pack there is a button with three dots, click it and select profile options. Under memory settings, if you uncheck Use System Setting you can use a slider to set the amount of memory.
