Client updated, server not?

Hey yall, the FTB launcher just updated my client, but the server and mods are still out of date so I cannot join a server with an updated version of FTB.

Am I being impatient? (yes :D)

Should FTB automatically update the server?
 
What i want to know is where all the mod zips went and how i can get them back so i can play on the older version
 
Seeing as an update requires a restart of the minecraft server software could an fully automatic update quickly become unpopulare :p
Take a copy of your FTB folder before updating and keep it until all the servers you play on have updated and you shouldn't have any problems :)
 
I will be sure to let past mouseodoom know that he should do that before updating

Present mouseodoom would like his users to be able to connect to the server he is running without telling them that their past-selves should have made a backup. :P

still trying the mod-copying thing, I will say something if that works or does not work. Fittingly, the server is backed up regularly.
 
Is there a way to downgrade if you updated? or do you have to manually downgrade each incompatible mod?
 
How do you update a server anyway? I re-downloaded the server zip archive a minute ago and I still get the error.
 
the server jar is not updated as of my posting this, it is identical to the previous version (at least the version I have been running)
 
Having the same issue as well, and attempting to copy the updated universal versions over to the server mods folder only yielded errors.

One thing I was a little, well, not entirely happy with was that there was no change-log of what changed. If I knew specifically what changed in the two packs, I could go and find and remove/fix the offending mod, but alas, without knowing exactly what changed it's hard to guess. Perhaps also a warning if the server and client versions that are currently up are mismatched would also be nice.
 
I tried copying the individual mods over from the client to the server, does not work :( server crashes upon launch now. If anyone figures out how to fix this or is willing to post a copy of the old launcher and files, that would be rad.
 
Looks like two mods were removed, Extra Bees being one of them. Unsure on the other as of yet, but I'd also assume attempting to interact with anything that has an extra bee in it could be.... disastrous.
 
I assumed that so I copied extrabees over and added advanced solar panels to the mods folder on the server, then a crash.[DOUBLEPOST=1353361754][/DOUBLEPOST]looks like a new server file is out, woohaw!

off to try that!
 
yea, I downloaded the updated server and it is not updated. I am very angry right now, this is the very reason why I avoided mod till now.
also "who founded feed the beast" is the human verification? WTH?
