Alloa! So someone went nut with the scatter option of the mining laser on my server and now there is like 1 million entity on the ground that can even bring my 12 core cpu to a crawl, is there a server command to remove entity or if we need to rollback to one of our backup?

Running on Direwolf20 v4 for Minecraft 1.4.6, vanilla pack

Minecraft uses only 1 core, so those 11 extra cores won't do you much good. If nothing else works, MCEdit does have a 'delete entities' function.

Meh, Optifine, get 3 cores. Anyway, MCEdit doesn't work on FTB it just transform any ID it doesn't know in like.. nether wart or piston and whatnot.. I'm not a big fan of giant redwood forest suddenly becoming giant redwood-sized piston structure

Yeah, for the client. There's no Optifine for the server. And shouldn't MCEdit save only the chunks you've edited, not the entire world?

Im not certain but I think forge essentials has a command to clear entities in a radius around you. Might want to check it out.. Again I'm not sure if it does or not I would have ot look at the commands again since I really only ever use warp and home and some of the world edit stuff.
