So I can't seem to pick up the clay soldiers when i go to craft them even though the recipe is shown in nei and when i set up the recipe it shows clay soldiers as the output. What gives? Its installed on both server and client properly I believe any ideas?

Clay soldiers? You mean the Clay Golems from Thaumcraft 3 that you have to research first to use?

Well, considering it's not a mod in the modpack you should probably ask for support in it's actual thread rather than here. Don't want to sound rude, it's just that unless the mod is in the modpack you probably won't be able to get much support for it here.

As I mentioned in another thread, NEI has an item id dump option. Go to the NEI Options, -> Block/ID Settings -> Dump BlockIDs. You can also dump unused IDs so you can more easily fix any conflicts.
From the way it's described it sounds like the server-side and client-side ID's are mis-matching. Or the installation was only successful on the client side thus making it appear as a valid recipe but not actually able to craft.
