Hey there!

I'm playing on a server with the Unleashed pack (1.1.7, BoP and Hats are enabled, nothing else changed) and I noticed something weird today:
I went offline a few hours ago but left my mass fabricator running and when I came back, it had produced 16 uu matter! I only have 30 solar panels (27x tier 1, 3x tier 2) and my 2 MFSUs aren't connected to it, so it must have taken a while to produce that much.
The thing is: I don't have a chunk or spot loader, quarry or an world anchor and I only use the usual machines (IC2: macerator, furnace,... and BC: Pulverizer,...) and none of them was running at that time.
It only seems to happen around the mass fabricator because there's a farm nearby (plain old vanilla) and it isn't affected but my bees (pretty much directly above the mass fabricator) are.

Did they change something in one of the previous versions (I don't think it has ever happened before), maybe even that the mass fabricator keeps the chunks around it loaded? I don't think someone hid a chunk loader somewhere around or beneath my house but if so, is there a way to find it (I'd prefer to find it myself but I could still ask the admin if there's no other way)?

Thanks in advance for any input that can help me solve this!

Yes, one portal gun portal but there are only 6 blocks between it and the farm and 27 blocks between it and the mass fabricator (it faces this way).

Try and bring up the chat(Default T) and type /chunkloaders
It gives you a map of all loaded chunks(red), forced loaded chunks(green square). If you mouse over the green squares it will tell you what and who is loading it. You might have to try and move away, since you yourself are loading a large area, in order to see if an area is red or not.
Another thing could be that you build in the spawn chunks. The game will by default keep a large area loaded around the default spawn area. This is afaik not the same as being loaded by a chunkloader, but it will allow certain things to continue. Could be that the IC2 stuff keeps working and the farm doesnt.

IC2 machines have a long history of working without any player nearby. My factory did this all the way back in 1.2.5.

Never figured out much rhyme or reason with it, except for this educated guess: while the machine is running, the chunk doesn't unload. If the machine runs out of work, the chunk unloads and doesn't get loaded again until something else (player, mobile chunkloader etc) reloads it.

Portal gun/spawner portals?
I got rid of the portal yesterday and when I came back today, everything was how I left it. Thanks a lot!

Thanks, the command's really useful!

I don't want the area around my house to be kept loaded (I could just get a chunk loader for that).

Its just that not everyone knows about the spawn chunks. Was once on a server where a guy build an automated chickenspawner and left it running thinking it wouldent stay loaded. But he build in the spawnchunks and it wreaked havoc on the server for weeks before we found it.
