I'm using a ChickenChunks loader because it is customizable, and it doesn't require fuel, which is great when you don't have an Ender Farm set up.

Chickenchunks is arguable better. It requires no fuel and you can customize the area of chunks you want loaded.
The Railcraft chunkloader is slightly cheaper but requires ender pearls as fuel, and only chunkloads a certain area. The fuel isn't such a big deal, especially in SSP. 1 enderperal equals 12 hours of chunk loading.

I have no idea how spot loaders work, do they only load one chunk instead of multiple? Anchor sentinels are great if you build long rail lines, because they load all chunks between them, but its a pretty niche use.

I've experiences that CCL do not load across dimensions while the RC anchors do load across dimensions.
