Hi all, I'm looking for a child friendly FTB server for my daughter. She is only 10 and doesn't speak english. She prefers to build but it doesn't have to be a creative server.

Yeah... when it comes to the internet there are very few places that are "child friendly".
The best you might find is a server that controls swearing. Actually you might have an easier time finding one for vanilla but modded child friendly servers, not so much.

All I can think of is "is there an addon that can filter words in chat?" because that's all you can hope for. Jerks will never not be an issue, but if you can find a way to filter the constant swearing, all you need is a server that is a whitelist server and has the mods she wants to use.
Or better you could set up your own and advertise it as server for parents and kids then you could control what is going kn and who goes on. swearing is a least on my problems when itcomes to online activity for kids. BTW: I have seen few here that were family friendly you should find few if you look well in server section.
That takes time and money, two things people either A; Don't have enough of B; Not willing to spend.
Plus we don't know the technical aptitude of OP, running a pure vanilla server is simple enough (at least technically) but then add plugins it starts to get complicated then you enter modded server administrating and you need to be pretty damn savvy to run.
Thanks for all the answers. At this moment me and my daughter do play together already. I simply press 'Open to LAN' and get going. But of course I don't always have time to play with her.

Well bad language is of course one thing but she is mostly looking for a friendly place where children are allowed. Where it is not a requirement to speak english and where there is no griefing and friendly neighbours

I like to add to this, there are two options into countering this.
1. Get people to help you admin your server and/or
2. go with a game service provider who is willingly to support their customers with their needs to do whatever it takes to run their servers without billing them in the process. Few exists however if you put time into this then you will find a select few that do (including us).
Also remember if you set your mind to it, there is nothing you cannot do. Should someone tries to bring you down then just ignore them and "put your transmission on drive" to run them over at the end of the day.
Or you can go to some options somewhere after you press escape and trees a button to hide user chat and only show commands, or hide everything.

The best servers are usually the ones you make yourself. Does your daughter have friends that play Minecraft? It might be worth it to find out. If so, maybe you could talk to their parents and perhaps split the costs of a server.
