Hello
I enchanted some book and got a 'charging I'. I looked it up and couldn't find anything that could tell me what it does.
Does anyone know?
Thank!

It's the wand version of "Repair". Thaumcraft added some special enchants that only apply to wands and Thaumcraft swords.

As for why someone would want to Charge a wand, some of Thaumcraft's special wands - most notably the wands of fire and lightning - cannot naturally recharge. Therefore, their vis is limited, essentially behaving like damage. This enchant basically allows you to use the same wand indefinitely. This is nice, because it means you don't have to keep finding shards to remake them

use a thaumanomicon, it explains every enchant:

Haste: 1-2-3
faster running for boots
Charge: 1
Recharges wands of Equal trade, excavation, frost, fire, and lightning using vis.
Repair: 1-2
Recharges thaumaturge's robes, thamium tools/armor/sword, elemental tools/sword, boots of the traveler and goggles of revealing usig vis.
Treasure: 1-2-3
Works exactly the way fortune works for pickaxes, just for wands of equal trade and excavation
Potency: 1-2-3
Makes wands more powerful, frost/lightning/fire have longer range, equal trade changes bigger areas, and excavate I think is faster but I might be wrong and is range.
Frugal: 1-2-3
Wands lose less durability when used.

woah woah woah, does that mean if I have treasure on my wand of equal trade, it will give me back more blocks than were originally there?

no it means that if you use the wand on glowstone you'll get more dust and such. wand of equal trade doesnt have the silk touch ability.

Equal trade wands with treasure DO get you more diamonds.

Btw fun fact, glass is a valid target to swap for. In combination with a pickaxe of the core this can lead to some interesting decisions. But you really really need to get charging on that sucker if you use it as a mining tool for anything but obsidian.

Another fun fact Cactus is a valid swap block..........I'll leave the ramifications of that to your imagination.

Can potency be put on the pickaxe of the core? I know it doesnt work normally but if you are in creative mode than it does and I'm wondering if I did that would it work?

A pickaxe is a pickaxe, not a wand.
