Cave spider tree?

Outside my village there is a really big tree with a few spiderwebs on it, and at night cave spiders seem to spawn around it, does anybody know what mod this tree comes from? And is there anything special about it, or should i just cut it down to stop the spiders from spawning? Thanks in advance.

Its a Thaumcraft greatwood tree. There is a spawner below one of the corner blocks, I'd recommend clearing it out during the day and capturing the spawner with a soulshard (kill a spider with it first).

You could also just nix the spawner and let the tree stand as well.

Do all greatwood trees have spawners under them? I have seen ones that have no spiderwebs on them in the past.

Its random I've found 2 out of maybe 100 or more trees

The spawner ones will have webs in them

only a few of them have it. you can see it as a small mini dungeon

The ones with spawners also generally have a chest as well with some goodies
