Cauldron & FTB Departed

Has anyone managed to get a version of Cauldron to work with Departed and have players connect to it? All the newest versions of Cauldron will let the server run, but won't let players connect because supposedly the forge version on the client is outdated even thought it's newer.

I know this isn't "cauldron related" however an alternative option is to use mods instead of plugins. If your looking for mods to replace "everyday" server admins' duty then you can check out this thread
