Your issue is that you are using Java 16. 1.16.5 need Java 8/11 and must not be latest version as its having issues with MC right now. Get update 311 I suggest.

FTB Bot: You will find older builds of Java 8 on Adoptium's website, at https://adoptium.net/archive.html?variant=openjdk8&jvmVariant=hotspot. Take the JRE for the jdk8u312-b07 section from 21 October 2021, otherwise more recent versions might be incompatible.

@gdharron Just because I am curious and like to know what I install on my PC: It does not directly install Java, right? It is called
Eclipse Temurin JRE with Hotspot 8u312-b07 (x64)
is that like a copied version of Java or why is it named differently?
