I'm running a yogcraft server over a Hamachi network. My computer is running the 64-Bit version of Windows 7, and I downloaded the most recent version of Java an hour or so ago (additionally, I used the "uninstall all old versions of java" tool on the java website).

The server alternated between lagging and kicking me out of the server for not having enough memory, so I looked for ways to allocate more RAM to FTB. I followed the instructions in this video:

But when I ran the BAT file (a cmd prompt opened for the briefest of seconds) and tried to relaunch my server, it wouldn't work. Again, a cmd prompt opened for half a second and then vanished, leaving no error message behind. I tried changing the information back to what it was, but no such luck.

What did I do wrong?

You didn't need to do that to allocate more memory. Just open the launcher, go the the Options tab, and change the maximum ram.

Did that. Options tab is already set to maximum ram of 1 GB.

My server is still refusing to do more than display the GIT prompt for half a second before closing it, even though I changed it back to the default settings.

1GB ram and trying to have more then one person will most likely cause out of memory error. Vanilla it work ok for sub 5 but for feed the beast not so much. And from the sounds of it your trying to play on the same server as the computer and if you only have 1GB ram there is no way you could play and run the server at once.
