Hello.
I am having a major issue right now. Before, any mod pack I opened I played on for about 10 minutes lagged out FTB and I had to close it. Now, when I try to get the console to show, it wants to update, so I click yes and it can't update. Can someone help me with both issues please? Thanks! I really want to play FTB.

What asked you to update? The launcher just got updated recently to 1.2.4 You can get an updated launcher from the site if it does not want to update.

If it is the modpack which one are you using? Try letting it sit downloading for a while then if/when it installs close it out and see if it gives you the message again. There is a known problem sometimes that the version number does not stick for the modpack and it thinks you need to update every time. It is pretty easy to fix, but I need to know which modpack for exact instructions.

If it is not downloading after a while post your console log to pastebin.com Check here for instructions:

I will try those things. But the chances of me trying those things now are low. I am really busy. Probably Friday I can.

You are using windows 8 right? I do not believe win8 comes in 32bit versions, if it does I apologize. Since win8 is 64bit you will want the 64bit version of java. You also have an older version of java.

According to the knowledge base for leaking worlds, which is what you have according to your log. It suggests that you uninstall all versions of java on your computer and restart. Then install the latest version of java, 32bit if your version of windows is 32bit and ONLY the 64bit, not also the 32bit version, if your windows is 64bit. Then restart your computer. The link just below is for version 7 update 21.

Once you have done that please post a new pastebin of the console and if you can also of the error log if it does not fix it entirely. Here are the new instructions that Booker teamed up with Ash to make.
