Can't pickup rotten flesh?

Every time rotten flesh goes into my inventory it immediately disappears. I tried relogging and restarting the server. Neither solved the problem. I haven't tested every other item but every other item does not have this problem. Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

are you wearing a modular powersuit helmet with an auto feeder? they automatically eat everything in your inventory that is food

You can turn it off using a keybind (press K). In newer versions it is a little smarter about it.

why do you even need rotten flesh? Its totally useless besides for healing dogs or eating it with MMMPS.

maybe hes killing zombies and noticing it dissapearing. You are probably right, he doesn't need it. Except if he's got a zombie scepter in which he needs to refuel it with rotten flesh every 99 uses

I think the zombie scepter only has 9 charges IIRC

There are a couple of other uses. You can put it in an industrial centrifuge for methane, use it for Thaumcraft research or transmutation, and recycle it for scrap of course. You used to be able to get canned food from it, but that was changed so that the result causes the hunger debuff when eaten.
