Can't open HQM Quest Book! Need help.

So, I finally started playing some modded minecraft today, after a large break. I had logged on to my custom modpack, and was able to open and use everything in the quest book; complete quests, edit them, or just open it.

Well now, for some apparent reason, I can't open the book anymore. It is enabled too. This bug is on multiple saves, I can't use the book anywhere now

I got some additional info. It isn't something wrong with HQM, it's something else. This bug happened again, and it makes it so NOTHING in my inventory can be right click used, like I can't open the book, or block with a sword, or eat.

Only way I found to fix it is to close minecraft and reopen it. Any ideas why this is an issue?
