I want to spawn in an item and be able to do some other stuff on my server, but I can't seem to be able to OP myself.
I went in the ops folder and wrote my name, saved but when I go in game I get "you do not have permission to type this command", then I go back to the ops file and it's BLANK! The process of starting the server must erase it for some reason.
HELP
 
OP yourself using console rather than using the file. The file requires a specific format that includes your UUID so its much easier to do it via console anyways.
