Cant make diamonds with magical crops

I'm using 1.7.10 magical crops 4.0.0 and I can't seem to make certain item (specifically diamonds) and it still requires a normal recipe but doesn't provide anything as well as NEI doesnt seem to have the recipe either I'm not sure if their is a config I have to edit or what but I've looked in all of them and it says I should get one diamond but I don't.

I'm not sure, but i think the "ore" plants have to be either planted on, or one block above an ore block. Try placing a diamond ore block below.
