Can someone direct me to how to do this properly?

I've tried to commands in terminal, I've tried installing the Apple version again. Nothing seems to work!

So....I've tried and tried and I've had *some* success?

http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp - Is telling me that i have Java SE 6 update 43 from APPLE as my java.

Try to launch Tekkit or FTB and it still explodes. Just black screens and exits like usual :(
Sometimes the Minecraft does crash and it frustrates me to see in the error report:

-- System Details --
Details:
Minecraft Version: 1.4.7
Operating System: Mac OS X (x86_64) version 10.8.2
Java Version: 1.7.0_17, Oracle Corporation
Why is it usuing Java 1.7 to run minecraft? I've deleted the damn thing!

This is because Apple have disabled Java 6 so it doesent work and you have to use Java 7 but this sometimes works but not for everyone so I written a guide to running FTB packs on Mac

Your running Java 1.7.... I think (Unless it has been fixed) That you need to be running Java 1.6.x (Most updated version of that)
You then need to re-enable Java apps after you downgrade..

So this is what i did^
But it still makes it run in 1.7?

And re-enable java apps? :)

So, for what ever reason uninstalling Java just isn't working.

Is there a way to uninstall it completely and not just the latest version (1.7)?

Why did i have to update it #stupid!

I know why it's not working properly, apple stopped java 6 from working on your computer, you can disable it but it can be risky as you have the chance of getting a virus from new virus, I will write a tutorial but do it at your own risk.
