Can't join Horizons 1.0.10 Server

Server version is 1.0.10 downloaded from the FTB Launcher (The website wasn't up to date yet)

Client is running 1.0.10 downloaded a couple of times from the launcher (deleted, re-downloaded, repeat)

Client and Server are not running any changes to any files or mods.

Upon joining the client displays the following error message

The Following multiparts are not installed on this client: pr_rextension

Not sure if this is a server-side issue or a client-side issue.

Can any other client connect to the server?

If not, try completely wiping and reinstalling the server; somewhere there is a version conflict between server and client. You should also manually confirm that they are both running the same version of ProjectRed as I believe that's the mod "pr_rextension" is part of.

from a cursory glance, it seems that the clients are running ProjectRed 4.2.2.16 while the server is running 4.2.2.19

I would manually patch it, but I can't find a 4.2.2.19 download link on the ProjectRed site, which means they're behind a bit.

Copy it over from the server zip. Just tried it and that fails. Well, it fixes this error, but there is a different one now.

It seems 1.0.10 is a hot mess. Several mods have differing versions between client and server.

Best move, if you can, revert to 1.0.9 until the version issues are worked out, unless you'd prefer to manually patch the version incompatibilities.

I had this issue yesterday. I fixed it by just making a brand new folder and changing my directory/download to that folder. In the launcher go to options and just change the directory and make a fresh install. It may tell you that you aren't running EnderNet so make sure before you launch you hit the "Edit Mod Pack" button at the top and ensure that this mod is enabled. This should fix the issue.

Fresh install does NOT work for me. Already did that, and enabled Endernet, yet I still have the same error.

Please ensure that when you launch the launcher you have selected 1.0.10 rather than recommended. This should fix the issue.

My issue remained after multiple fresh installs with the same error.

I'll wait a few days and try it again with 1.0.10 (my game crashes now near my village on my server due to going to 1.0.10 and downgrading I think)

One more thing, if after selecting 1.0.10 on the launcher (Launcher version should be 1.3.3) it still does not open, go into the options tab and select force update and try again. After doing this you will once again have to close your game and enable EnderNet (and I also enable my mini-map at this point). Hope this helps people. I've had to help multiple people on my server get this installed and these few steps usually end up working. Good Luck!

Actually, I found this thread via Google, and I was dumb enough not to see the title...

I can't join MONSTER servers because of this error. So Horizons ain't the only one with problems.

Well, please bear in mind that both of those are beta packs. Anyone using them for a server (or at all) is doing so at their own risk.

Bug reports are very much appreciated, but technically support isn't offered for those packs at all, yet. Saying that they both have problems is a little rhetorical.

Yes, but everyone else on the server is playing fine, and since this pack is having a similar issue, I can only believe its because I just updated. Its happened before, and requires deleting everything. But I think I didn't delete everything, but I have now, so lets see if this works!

I hope it does, and I'm not saying that you're wrong, the mere fact that you're having an issue and others aren't doesn't actually mean you should expect it to work or that you're owed any support =P

Not that I mind helping out. I'm just trying to point out that you should expect problems where beta packs are concerned.

In the end, it being Beta was irrelevant to the problem. I simply hadn't deleted all the files. The solution, deleting all the files, worked for my pack, just as it did for these guys. And it appears this issue has occurred for many others, me excluded (The guys in this thread, and a few friends that are on FTB monster too).

For all Monster (and maybe Horizons) users: You can fix this error by deleting ALL your Monster related files, and if that doesn't work, ALL your Feed the Beast related files (Launcher excluded), Then select "Force Update" and rather than using the "Recommended" build, select the latest one manually. If it still doesn't work, changing the modpack directory may help.

Would you be so kind as to provide a console log of the FTB launcher when you are trying to launch the game (I need the FTB console log, not the minecraft log), that should let me see why you are getting incorrect versions
