Can't install or play any modpacks through the app? Ubuntu

I can't get anything to work through the app. I'm on ubuntu MATE 20.04, and I installed the FTB App, but it didn't seem to install Overwolf. I can't install any packs, it just stays on creating environment, and after getting the install files from a friend and putting them in the folder, the app won't even try to launch the minecraft launcher. clicking play does nothing. And I can't find any way to transfer the game files to another launcher to try. The only issues I can think of it being are the lack of Overwolf, or the fact that I have Java 8 and 11 installed and can't find any option to change the java that the app uses. Does anyone have any ideas?

Same problem here I can't play anymore and nothings works :/ I dont know if you already tried but maybe delete all ftb files and try it again orso? Curseforge is also a option btw but for me it has a white screen that doesn't work for me but maybe for you?
