Windows .exe Can't Get Past The Launcher?

So basically when ever I try and press launch at the FTBLauncher it comes up with this message:
IOException, MineCraft Servers might be down. Check @ help.mojang.com
This has happened to like a few other people. But i can't do anything. It is really annoying all my folders are normal etc. Can anyone help with this? I really want to play on FTB as it is so good.
