Can't download any modpacks

Keep getting stuck with an "error downloading modpack" .. despite what version of the launcher i use, or how many times i restart.

Growing increasingly irritated at this as others are playing it and I still can't.

Can anyone help me .. I even downloaded the modpack from creeperhost, but not really sure what to do with it .. as it looks incomplete. Even though twitter says all is normal. I was able to DL packs fine before this.

Have even used a DL a friend provided to me, and the launcher is still ******.

Any clues ?

Your java needs updating.

Check to see if your av/firewall is blocking your downloads.

If that does not work I would suggest doing the basic troubleshooting steps here.

If you still have problems then post another log.

I'll try java ... but i already did those steps already

According to your log, no you don't:

If you followed the troubleshooting guide correctly, you should have manually uninstalled the old versions of Java from your computer. You still need to do that.

   I got a little bit further on the download, but still not getting it anywhere near complete.

AVG, and prior to this I've never had issues with any packs ... now I can't DL one to save my life

Thanks Ash ... Uninstalling the AVG fixed the problem ... now to reinstall it
