So with other words:
- You can't connect from your house with your pc
- You can connect from your friends house with your pc

Is the server @ your friends house? IF so tel him to open the ports that are being used for the server

There sever happens to be at our mutual friends house down the road from my friends house. I also believe someone who is on the sever with us is in Texas and able to play. I think it has to be my home network it's a Comcast router that I'm going through.

so the server is reachable by external. Then it's indeed on your side. Is UPNP enabled in your router?
