Can't change avatar

I know this may seem really insignificant but I'm having problems changing my avatar, I've tried two now that have worked on other forums I've been on and all that happens is it says "The image cannot be processed by the server please try another or contact the site owner"
Maybe I'm using the wrong dimensions but I doubt it, one is 100x100 and the other is 225x225. Maybe the second one is a bit over but the first is all right I think.

I believe you have to use gravatar. You can't upload images directly.

I had the same issue with the avatar, even resized it to recommended specs, but ended up having to use Gravatar.

We only support gravitar as far as I know but I will look into the issue
