I can't seem to add Optifine 1.4.6_HD_U_C3 or HD_U_D5 to the Yogcraft pack. I've tried adding them with the Add Mod tool, but as far as I can tell it doesn't actually install them (fps remains unchanged, no additional options, no optifine version info displayed on debug screen), even though they are listed under enabled mods.
Can someone help? I'm currently getting 10-18 fps, which isn't really playable. Changing the RAM allocation to 2.5GB didn't help either.

Okay, first off, more than 2GB ram is not going to help. If anything, it'll start having troubles with garbage data accruing and run slower.

Second, you want the correct version, found here. You're wanting 1.4.6_HD_U_D5. However, there is also a D5 for 1.5.2, and a lot of people accidentally try that one.

From there, go into Options, then into Video Options and see if there's any changes. You don't need to start a world, just hit Options from the main menu.

That's what I tried, I added Optifine 1.4.6_HD_U_D5 with the Add Mod button under Edit Modpack in the launcher. When I launched YogCraft, there weren't any of the options under Video Options that Optifine adds (I've been using it with Vanilla for quite some time so I know what to look for). When I went back to the Edit Modpack screen in the launcher, Optifine was listed under Enabled Mods even though by all indications it wasn't actually enabled/installed.

I do have the launcher and directory on different partitions of my hard drive, could that cause problems?

Did you add it as a Jar Mod? Adding it as a Mod or Core Mod won't help, and will produce the problems you are encountering. It has to be added as as Jar Mod.

Ooohhhhh, that makes sense, because it goes in the jar file (derp). I was trying to add it as a standard mod, I just added it as a Jar mod and it works now.
Thank you so much for your help!
