So a bit of an odd issue I am experiencing and cannot figure it out.
On a windows 2012r2 server I am running the new Direwolf20 1.6.4 modpack (ver 1.0.8). My ports are open on my router (not that it matters for the issues I am seeing).
On my desktop that has a wired connection to router running windows 7 I can see the server both via the internal lan IP as well as the external IP using port forwarding. I also can log in and play just fine.
The issue is on my microsoft surface running windows 8.1. Even when connected to the same network via wireless I can see the server but every time I try to log in I cannot connect and it times out. Is this likely a java on the surface? I have used the same FTB launcher for both clients.
*edit* Using the FTB exe.. but using the FTB jar for the server.
