Can you pick up illumination powder?

Ive been trying everything! Astral sorcery adds illumination powder that basically serves as an alternative to torches. I misplaced one and I can't pick it up. It's invisible to the one probe, and smacking it does nothing, I just hit the block behind it. Done some googling and apparently no one has asked this in the history of this mod. I can't pick this stuff up! Is this a bug or what?

I don't think you can. If you want to remove it, place a block in the same space as the powder, it'll slowly (~5 seconds) go away.
Since you can place a block on it, I'm inclined to say it's an entity, not something mineable.
