Can we still make servers in hardmode?

Details of the issue:
I am just curious cause I looked it up and I do not see anything for it anymore. Just creative , survival , adventure , and spectator. So if I can still put my own server to hardmode do I do it just by the main menu? I need to know for a lets play series thanks guys :)
Just to clarify I am not saying hardcore mode either​

nvm guys found it change the difficulty to 3 I thought that was it.
It was super late when I wrote this last night and I was very tired.
