Hi I am considering getting a new computer and I was wondering if I could run FTB
Specs:

Cpu - A8 6600K (3.9ghz turbo 4.2ghz)
Gpu - AMD Radeon R9 280X 3gb
Ram - 16Gb 1600Mhz DDR3
Motherboard - Gigabyte F2A88XM-DS2
HDD - 2tb Seagate Barracuda Sata 6Gb/s 64mb Cache 7200rpm
Windows - Windows 8.1 64bit

Also please don't say 'Oh you don't need 16GB of ram, I need it for heavy editing!' or 'You don't need a powerful grafics card, I need it for 4 monitor display.'

Thanks.

Just don't allocate too much RAM at once (common mistake people make with 8+ gigs available) and I don't think you'll have any issues.

Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5Ghz OCd to 3 Ghz
Geforce GTX 285
6GB Ram

SSD (saving grace on this old machine, HDD died so i had to move on)

Can run server for 3 people and client at reasonable graphics, as long as i don't use one ofthe newer modpacks with 5 pages of mods or all graphic settings on max. Problem is memory. Right now the SSD is backing up the ram pretty hard, it probably absorbed 500Gb -1Tb of traffic over the last few months. Not optimal, but it works and newer SSDs are not that vulnerable to ruining the cells.

If this Zombie pc with a Mainboard from 2006 and all sorts of upgrades and stuff crammed in can run it.....you can run it. Hands down. Especially since you got 16 gig of ram.
