I made an Energized Glowstone Bucket with my magma crucible / fluid transposer and I want to put the glowstone into my smeltery in order to make my first lumium.

Is this possible or will I have to make a pyrotheum dust and use that as furnace fuel on some normal glowstone instead?
Thanks!

You can right click the bucket on a Drain that is connected to the smeltery. So the energized glowstone would be inside

Infinity has a recipe for this in NEI so the recipe exists in the smeltery (probably extraTIC <3)

^ that.

Alternatively, you can hook up your fluid transposer so it outputs into a smeltery drain.

If i right click on a drain the glowstone is just placed and starts floating upward, I've never used a drain to put something INTO the smeltery, how does that work?

Are you aiming at the faucet or the drain itself? You should aim at the drain.

You could break the faucet, right click the bucket, then put back the faucet.

Same as taking stuff out but...backwards?

Actually, I just tried this with a bucket and it does the same for me. Simple answer, make some sort of tank and then pipe the stuff into the drain. That definitely works.

I have a hardened portable tank, will that work? And do I just set it above the smeltery drain and it will automatically go in? I currently have the faucet of the drain facing inward, is this all correct? Or am I missing something here?

Thank you both for all of the help!

Instead of a faucet, use a Fluiduct or equivalent. Then output from your tank through the duct into the drain. All components are external to the Smeltery, just in case that wasn't clear before.

You can also input and output from the sides of the drain block. So if you have access to a side, you can leave your drain spout on and use piping as well.
