Just a quick question, can't seem to find any info about it other than it won't ever overheat.

Thanks in advance!

*EDIT* - Also, is there a way to restrict the flow of buildcraft energy if there is no room for it? I'm getting tired of exploding pipes!

To clarify: The biogas engine won't explode, but the pipes will.

There isn't really a way to restrict buildcraft energy in a way that will prevent pipe destruction other than to turn off the engine feeding it, which generally means fun with buildcraft gates. By the time you're able to make buildcraft gates, you should be well past ready to make redstone conduit, and it's frankly superior for pretty much every need that conductive piping might need, and not very hard to construct.

I've just stopped making conductive pipes altogether in my worlds.

You know I always wondered why of all the states a gate can detect theres not a OMG THIS PIPE IS GONNA BLOW state you can set.

You can detect flow and empty power you can detect a machines buffer state. But you have no gate option to dectect if the pipe it is on is reaching a build up that will blow up.

Always found that weird.

And its one of the resons I only use conductive pipes until I can make conduits and liquiducts.

Well, I can breathe a little easier now, knowing I'm not gonna have a biomass-apocalypse inside of my home. Thanks guys!

However, another question - the conduits which I have upgraded to - what happens if you are running power into them but with no output? I realised I had been doing this after disconnecting the line from all of my machines, yet i know the energy has gone somewhere....
