Can anybody suggest ways so that I can run Infinity?

Title:
Can anybody suggest ways so that I can run Infinity?
Launcher Version:
1.4.3
Modpack:
FTB Infinity
Modpack Version:
1.10.1
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
I cannot seem to run Infinity, although I would really like to because most of my friends are. I've tried reducing all the settings down to as minimal as possible, as well as install optifine. Fastcraft is enabled already and I can only allocate 3 gb of ram. I have tried allocating less, such as 2.5 and 2, but that doesn't seem to help. I've also gone into my advanced options, and for my additional Java parameters, I put in "-Xmx2048m -Xms2048m -XX:permSize=256m". Is there anything else that I could possibly do in order to run the game? I'll also list my laptop specs down below.

CPU: APU A8-5550M Quad-Core
GPU: Radeon HD 8550G
Ram: 4GB (3.19GB usable)
Thanks, Tyler

I'd also like to point out that it's not so much the framerate that does not allow me to run it, but the launcher taking extremely long periods of time to launch the client, only to become unresponsive. The only time I was able to log into a server, I was using upwards of 80+% of my memory, causing me to freeze up constantly.

A few things
If you have 64 bits windows (which you probably have) it will use about 2 GB of RAM thus leaving only 2 GB of RAM for your other programs.

Another thing, infinity and every other big modpack for that matter has a long startup time. Look in the console to see if it still does something and not just think it crashed because it became unresponsive

Indeed. If you have a slow machine on Windows, don't let explorer.exe fool you. The program might be detected as not responding, but if you check the console log you might still see ongoing activity. Especially for Infinity it really boils down to being patient.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I do sit it out and watch the console, I was unclear. I know that when it's starting up it does that a lot, but what I meant was after everything loads and I am at the title screen I get the not responding issue, and only sometimes does it correct itself and become responsive. There's still also the memory issue I don't know how to deal with. The one time I was able to manage to log on, I kept on using way too much memory for the game to run smoothly.

In that case, I'd think that the only way for you to be able to run Infinity is to get more RAM ( And, in the case of your device being a laptop, that probably means a new laptop). I don't think there's any way to get around it.

I suppose that if you are really desperate, you could try trimming out all of the mods you likely won't use, and see if you can run what's left.

You definitely need more RAM, I'd upgrade to at least a total of 8. You might want to look in to upgrading your CPU, Minecraft doesn't take advantage of multithreading all that much if I remember correctly. Considering you're on a laptop your upgrade options are really limited sadly :/
