Yea the railcraft chunk loader uses ender pearls as fuel (12 hours each). That is the ChickenChunks chunk loader he is using, which doesn't use fuel, however it has problems with frames atm where it loads the chunks it started at and doesn't move the loaded area. You should switch to the railcraft chunk loader and it should fix the issue.

Chunk loaders, as dire would say, don't play nicely with frames. Not sure about world anchors.

I belive the issue is the loaders are not updating the targeted chunks. But could you use two of them since they can be turned on and off with a redstone single just turn one on move to the edge of its range. Turn the other one on then the frist one off repeat.

How long can 16 ender pearls last in a world loader and are their any other chunk loader mods that work with frames?

by default each pearl is like 12 hours. But this setting is editable in he configs. Also I belive it needs to be dust but im not 100% sure as I use the Chickenchunk and spot loaders myself.

Nah it uses straight ender pearls. The need for fuel can also be turned off, or edited like Saice said. The portal gun uses Ender pearl dust if fuel is turned on.

good to know.

I still wonder I really think its that the chunkloader is not updating as it moves. I really think the toggleing between two migtht work. I'm not at home but I might test that in 8-9 hours when I get home.

That is basically the issue. The ChickenChunks Chunk Loader is still trying to load the area it was placed at in the beginning and doesn't load the area it is at now. Basically it isn't updating like you said. I've seen some people add turtles to their tunnel bores where the turtle regulates the tunnel bores movement and also moves 2 chunk loaders every few blocks to stop it, but the world anchor seems to work fine with it. I have been using a World Anchor for my Tunnel bore and it has been fine. If you can't visit your Tunnel Bore once every 8 real life days of straight gameplay you are being neglectful to your machines.

on my tunnelbore i had two of thoes chicken chunk loaders, and i had it set up to where one is attached to the frame and another one is not and is moved back useing a frame motor so that there is always one stationary. This worked just fine for me.

So, the issue is the ckickenchunks loader loading the original chunks, or it momentarily un-loading while being moved?

If its the latter you could use a deployer and a blockbreaker to do a sort of inchworm drive, placing a new chunkloader and breaking the old one on each step.

Honestly I am not sure which it is myself. But on ChickenBones Minecraft Forum post: "Warning, ChickenChunks frame compatibility not guaranteed, I'm working on it." So it should be fixed at some point either way. personally I would just use world anchors until then since it doesn't require a fancy setup.
