Builders Guides for 1.10.2

Before I go posting a bug report let's make sure I am doing this right. I setup a builder's guide for a dome and it is showing some large gaps in the guide that'll make the dome look wrong. Is there a way to fix this?

No, I don't think so. I believe that you are just supposed to build a flat layer until the next one. (If that makes sense)

Oh! Interesting. So the gaps are two block wide, hmm, ok.
