Hiya all.

Will a buildcraft pump continue to pump when there is no where for the liquid to go?

I am not worried about the power requirements as I generally use redstone engines to power my pumps.

Here is a bit of background. I used mystcraft to create a lava world, and am currently sending lava, via a tesseract, to a huge railcraft iron tank. I am wondering when the tank becomes full if the pump is going to continue to remove lava from my lava world even though there is nowhere for it to go.

Thank you in advance for any info you all can provide.

Pump not connected to storage (just placed and powered) not pump lava. Full storage is same case.

its dangerous to use a bc pump in a lava age. use the gregtech advanced pump if you have it installed as it prevents lava flow and saves significantly on lag.
