Hi all! I'm pulling my hair out here trying to get a proper understanding of how these gates work in relation to IC2 machines, specifically the macerators and electric furnaces.
I've set up a small ore processing area arranged like so:
Chest for ore -> Wood transport pipe with iron gate -> macerator with ejector -> chest -> pipe and gate -> electric furnace with ejector -> chest
The idea is to use the chests as buffers to avoid overflow. I also would like this chest buffer idea for other processing areas, but the gate is driving me crazy.
I thought maybe the top slot would be inventory, but the gate doesn't recognize it being full. However, it will recognize the top slot if I select 'items in inventory' (true) or 'inventory empty' (false).
Is it that all of the slots are considered inventory? And if so, is there anyway to make this work without TE?
